Our founders purchased and restructured a nursing home in Hillsboro, Oregon. This care center would eventually become one of the region's leading providers of post-acute care. By insisting on integrity above all else, our founders redefined nursing homes by placing the resident at the center by emphasizing quality patient outcomes. With a passion to improve the quality of people's lives, Avamere began to expand our unique blend of patient-centered healthcare services. Several premier independent living communities for retired seniors were built, providing access to comfortable, quality housing with a variety of amenities. And for those needing an extra helping hand in their daily lives, special assisted living centers were established. But our company would be short-lived without an obvious level of quality. We strive to exceed expectations. Our focus on providing the best has allowed us to establish many independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and transitional care centers across multiple states. Adding to a commitment to quality is the relentless pursuit of innovation, charting a new course. For example, when Infinity Rehab was founded in 1999, our therapists began providing in-house rehabilitation services that are typically contracted to outside vendors.
