food is outstanding I think the people are outstanding friendly I think the staff is about as high as you can well if I were rating them on a scale of one to ten I'd fire rate them at about a 12 chef prepared meals are available all day for your convenience we have multiple dining options to choose from and a full menu to order from in addition to the main dining room private dining rooms and community rooms are available for family gatherings parties and meetings one of the thoughts that came up to me as we added up numbers and things as how much do you want to get up in the morning and talk to yourself try to find a way to make dinner for yourself and make it interesting it is so much nicer to go down to breakfast and have someone say good morning and have a good conversation and start your day it's the same thing if you want to have our soup and salads that we have at lunchtime and sandwiches available or go to the distro and get an extra cup of coffee activities are an integral part of living at Harbor played numerous things in-house whether it's bingo senior prom homecoming dances we have lecturers come in and speak to our residents every month we take them out and we'll go to Mariners games picnics in the park go to different concerts but then also we help with those day to day activities too so we'll go to the grocery store three times a week so residents can still get out to the grocery store will help take them to their doctors appointments so again just that light support those little things that we can do really make a great difference in their independence on a day-to-day basis retirement living means freedom from everyday chores such as cooking and cleaning it means more time with family and friends it means fun around the card table the issues with weight bearing status or pressure on their joints or just balance issues they can be in the pool and the therapist can actually work more easily with them because they have not only the stability from the water but also it's less weight on their joints so they can do exercises that they wouldn't normally be able to do on my other my mom was having need for some physical therapy and I was delighted to know that there was a there were therapists here on the campus that could actually come to her room and I've been very pleased that she didn't have to go anywhere she could just get all of her needs taken care of right here complimentary laundry rooms located throughout the community mean you spend less time with chores and more time doing the things you love my focus is to serve people while while I am working here I try to focus and keep my mind on with my mother be happy living and as I I meet with people work for people I always ask myself with would I be doing the same thing for my mom would I be providing the services here that my mom would be if she was she was here living and that's the standard that I that I set myself not to work towards the carefree retirement
