[Music] I will have lived 100 years on the 4th of April when you come to a place like this and when you have a nice staff and when you have nice neighbors it means a lot now I have an apartment and a half so I could get around there easily and I can take care of myself every senior no matter what their level of income deserves a nice place to live in their retirement years and that's what a physical retirement services strives for part of our obligation is to fulfill growing community needs and clearly this is a growing need if you look at the growing senior population every seven seconds that we experience there's one new 65 year old in our country today so incredible growth in terms of the senior population and we know also that there is limited supply of senior affordable living communities in our country with our development expertise our knowledge and service for older adults is a good fit for us to extend our mission and serve this growing population the formula that ers is using an affordable housing for seniors is partnerships we want the neighborhood's to want us to be there and we want our residents to be a part of that neighborhood a fiscal retirement services serves limited income seniors in Ohio Kentucky and Indiana we serve residents in rural areas such as West Liberty Ohio in suburban areas Trent which is in Lexington Kentucky in urban areas such as our Central Parkway place which is above the YMCA in downtown Cincinnati we strive that our apartments and our communities are no different than market rate you wouldn't be able to tell the difference we try to offer our residents all kinds of supports meeting their needs things that will really be meaningful to them and help them improve their lives the difference is that if you have a maintenance problem they come right away I wanted some services that I didn't know how to apply for and they just step right in and help me [Music] [Music] supportive healthcare services and this is being viewed as a great opportunity to improve the quality of lives for the people who live there and help them age and place successfully longer in the place they call home but also a way to provide greater access to needed health care services and lower the overall cost of health care for this low-income senior population who happen to be high uses of health care many of whom are eligible for both the Medicare and Medicaid programs we see this as a wonderful opportunity to build clinic services visiting physicians nurse practitioners who would be available to provide for the primary care needs of the senior population here visiting physicians will come they call you that you know when they're coming we always partner with a home care company and the home care company will provide a nurse who will do weekly screenings we're working on prevention rather than acute care in emergency care and this is really cut down on the number of emergency calls to the life squad for our residents they really don't want to go to the hospital when they don't have to so these services are really changing their lives again helping them to age in place when we design our communities or renovate a community we always add a fitness center we may have many pieces of equipment or for smaller communities at least two it's important that our residents have the opportunity to exercise they stay fit but it's also important that they're able to exercise together because they're much more successful when they have a partnership in developing their routine what I met a lot of people a lot of people and a lot of caring people who look out for each other I get up at four o'clock in the morning and I'm on my way to work and the halls will be clean and you ain't got to worry about feeling unsafe because you didn't walked out the door at five o'clock in the morning so that's another security that makes me feel real good and real proud this is by all means the best the best and I hope to be here too there is ample opportunity to improve services for older adults by adding new services beyond just comfortable and safe and secure housing we indeed believe that we are changing lives in a very positive way this is my home and I wouldn't do nothing in the world and it's like more plants in here I have this is mine at this stage of our life is one of the best things that happens with it and I'm happy to be here you [Music]
