Title: Why I Chose The Woodlands.
Time: 1 min 14 sec

Description:

Ray and Betty live at The Woodlands, one of Shell Point's three neighborhoods. The Woodlands offers luxurious residences in four atrium-style buildings, centered around a two-story Commons. Residents enjoy fine dining and recreation, as well as unmatched views of the Gulf of Mexico, Sanibel Island, nature preserves, and the Shell Point Golf Club.

Transcript:

We've known about Shell Point for quite some time. But we saw an ad in a magazine, that had a picture of The Woodlands: Oakmont, Rosemont, and the Commons. And it was fantastic. And I told Betty that, "You know, if they could accomplish something like that, I think we ought to look into it." So we did! With a construction background, I wanted to go into a place where I could make a few changes. So we took out some patio doors, and enlarged the living room and the dining room. And I had an opportunity to build a really nice office/den which we love. I almost live in it. And so it was very nice to be able to make those changes before the building was built. It's unique. You're close to nature. And you can be calm. Listen to the breezes on the lake. It's a beautiful beautiful place to be. If any place has it all, Shell Point has it all. I mean, there are so many opportunities here for education, for sports, for fine arts, for volunteering -- it's a fabulous place.

Title: Making Friends at Shell Point
Time: 1 min 14 sec

Description:

With more than 2,000 neighbors, you're sure to find some kindred spirits at Shell Point. From partners on the golf course, to dining companions, fellow volunteers, artistic collaborators, and even those who are willing to help in times of need -- it's the people of Shell Point that make it such an extraordinary community.

Transcript:

We've gotten to meet a lot of new friends since we've moved here. People we've been really glad we've had the opportunity to know them and to participate with them in life here at Shell Point. I have just met so many people since we all moved in to Eagles Preserve at the same time. It's just absolutely amazing how many people you get to know. And the next thing you know, you're off doing something with them, or through them you meet other people, and it's just absolutely fantastic. We went down to the Promenade Cafe almost every day to figure out who these new people were. And so we learned a lot about a lot of people, and we met a lot of people. And it's been great fun to learn about them and their wonderful backgrounds. I don't know what I would have done without my neighbors. My neighbors came when I was in the hospital, they cared for my pet. They did my laundry for me. They went shopping for me when i got home. The friendships I have made at Shell Point are innumerable. And I'm blessed to have them all.
