The Terrace is a grand assisted living community in Homer, Alaska. It is within classy Kenai Peninsula County which is part of the Last Frontier.
Our mission is to offer opportunities to adults 55 years and older to live life to its fullest. We offer seniors essential services (assisted and unassisted housing, nutrition, education, and transportation) and social activities that promotes independence and a healthy continuum of care.
The Terrace is Senior Living with Assistance. Our 40 bed facility provides private one-bedroom apartments. We employee 24 hour awake professional staff that includes nurse management, CNA's, Resident Assistants Aides, Activity Aids, and Housekeeping, with a response time of 1 minute 20 seconds for resident call assistance. Laboratory Services are available. Medicaid Wavier and LTC Insurance accepted but are responsibility of resident to determine eligibility. Home Units (Low Income) are available, accepting or declining services does not affect eligibility for Home Units.

- Utilities included: Water, Heat, Electric, Wifi, & Cable TV.
- Small refrigerator and kitchen sink.
- Access to on-site beauty / barber shop.
- Breakfast, lunch & dinner served, and evening snacks are available.
- Laundry is scheduled once a week.
- Recreational activities are planned and open to all residents, such as bingo, bible study, trips, arts & crafts, movies, music presentations, and so much more.
The Terrace is also available for Respite Care for seniors who need short-term assistance, such as after a hospital stay. 24 hour awake care with a fully furnished apartment.
The Adult Day Services program is a community-based program designed to meet the needs of adults, who require assistance with functional ADL’s, through an individual plan of care. The program is open to anyone residing on the Southern Peninsula Service Area and who meets the eligibility criteria. HSC is an approved VA site for Veterans Services. It is a structured, person-centered comprehensive program that provides a variety of health, social and related support services in a protective setting. The program is designed to maintain or improve the level of cognitive/ physical capacity of the individual.
Nursing oversight and care management services are provided by a registered nurse for those who are enrolled in the "Adults with Physical and Intellectual Disabilities Program". The registered nurse evaluates the participant's need for medical care, including the ability to provide self-care; develops a nursing plan; trains, supervises and evaluates the participant who provides self care and/or the individuals who perform delegated nursing duties for the participant; and monitors medical care to ensure services are reasonable and necessary for the participant's medical condition and the complexity of care required to treat that condition, and to verify services are delivered according to the nursing plan and in a manner that protects the health, safety, and welfare of the participant.
