RCFE serves person sixty years and older. They provide room, board, housekeeping, and supervision, and personal care, assistance with basic activities like personal hygiene, dressing, eating and working.
This level of care and supervision is for people who are unable to live by themselves but who do not need 24 hour nursing care. RCFE must meet care and safety standards set by the State and are licensed and inspected by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing.
Hospice Care is a philosophy os care that focuses on patient comfort and quality of life rather than curing the patient's disease. It's generally appropriate for someone with a terminal illness and life expectancy of six months or less.
Hospital Care is typically given in the patient's but also may be given in inpatient hospice units. Hospice care does not provide 24 hour around the clock nursing care so many patients are either cared for by family members, hired caregivers or at a residential care facilities.
Non Medical Home Care helps individual maintain a familiar lifestyle in the comfort of their own home. Caregivers stay with them 24 hours or come in on hourly basis.
The caregiver assists with bathing, grooming, toileting and dressing. They will do light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and medication reminder. They provide services that help with socialization and transportation like accompanying the aging adult to a Doctor's appointment, picking up prescription and unning errands.
