Country Village is a pleasing assisted living community in Chico, California. It is within enjoyable Butte County which is part of the Golden State.
For over 35 years, Country Village has lovingly cared for seniors in our Chico, California, community by providing smaller, more personal Assisted Living and Memory Care for Dementia and Alzheimer's patients, as well as an Adult Memory Loss Day Program and Respite Care.
We enhance the lives of our residents by giving them choice, dignity, privacy and respect. The Country Village offers the comfort and security they need to function at their highest capacity and enjoy optimum quality of life.
Our “village”, set on over two acres, consists of the Country House for those needing supportive care or with mild memory loss; The Commons for those with mid-to-late stage memory loss and our Day Program for those who can still live at home.
Many people describe The Country House as reminding them of a bed and breakfast in the Napa Valley. It is very home-like and welcoming. There is a large front porch where residents sit and enjoy the beautiful grounds and the activity of “company” coming and going.
All the rooms are private with a private half-bath with the exception of one room which is a semi-private room. Many of the rooms have bay windows that look out to the landscaped surrounding.
All residents have a “pender” which enables them to quickly notify the staff when they need assistance.
Several rooms are equipped with the new technology which will alert us if a resident falls in their room.
The Country Commons has many special features that lend themselves to the staff’s ability to care for residents with mid- to late-stage memory loss and Alzheimers. The majority of the rooms are clustered around the central living and dining area so that each resident's care needs can be quickly met.
The rooms have “Dutch doors” to allow privacy while at the same time giving the resident the feeling of not being isolated. This also enables caregivers the ability to communicate "over the door" with the residents to see if they need anything.
Another important design feature is our central area, which includes music and the Montessori method of interacting so that each resident can participate in enjoyable activities and feel a sense of accomplishment.
The semi-private rooms are uniquely designed to give the maximum amount of privacy by placing the “closets” in the middle of the room which then acts as a divider.
The grounds are fully secured so that a resident can go outside at any time and enjoy the beautiful yard.
