At Turrin House, we are committed to ensuring that our services and amenities help create the enriched and engaged life our residents deserve. Our boutique assisted-living home is located in a peaceful residential area of Pleasant Hill, California. It is a beautiful house with six private, spacious and sunny rooms for six senior residents. Each room comes completely furnished, but we encourage our residents to bring their belongings to feel more at home.

Our residents’ health and well-being are of the utmost importance to us. Our daily program is designed around your likes, needs, and current events. It can include light exercise, book discussions, games, arts and craft workshops, music, and much more!  We also have scheduled experiences and social gatherings to celebrate holidays and birthday parties.

Our professional staff provides the following services to ambulatory, non-ambulatory, and hospice residents:

• Gourmet meals and snacks three times a day with personal diet accommodations  
• Medication reminders and monitoring
• Blood pressure and weight measurements
• Medical, dental and personal appointment arrangement
• Transportation arrangement to appointments, activities or religious services
• Arrangement for in-house beauty services
• Daily activities for mental and physical development
• Celebration of family events, birthdays, and major holidays
• Weekly housekeeping and laundry services

Our amenities include the following:

• Six single occupancy private rooms
• Two private and two shared bathrooms  
• Emergency response system in each room
• Three rooms for staff: one on the main floor and two upstairs with a private bathroom
• Spacious living area
• Landscaped front and backyards with a large deck
• Wheelchair access throughout
• Cable television access in each room
• Wi-Fi internet

Mealtime is another great opportunity for interaction. Depending on each resident’s mood, meals can be served either at the main dinner table or in the private room. We are foodies, so we aim to serve diverse and nutritious gourmet meals made fresh each day and we follow dietary guidelines and restrictions. A sample menu would include:

• Breakfast:  Croissant sandwich with egg, turkey, gouda cheese, tomato, and avocado. Drink of choice such as coffee, tea, or juice. Fruit salad consisting of seasonal fruit.
• Lunch: Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Cheese and fruit plate. Drink of choice such as coffee, tea, or juice.
• Dinner: Tomato bisque soup. Macadamia nut crusted salmon with a side of creamed spinach and asparagus. Drink of choice such as coffee, tea, or juice. Caramel cheesecake with a side of fruit.
• Snacks: White cheddar cheese with almonds and dried cranberries, lemon pepper tuna with crackers, Himalayan salt veggies.
