Golden Star Residential Care Home was founded in 2002 as a part of Starcare Services. We are a company that best demonstrates how the vision of the young and the wisdom of the old can create synergy and benefit many people, the community and hopefully the country in the near future.
Founded in 1999 by Estrella “Star“ Valendo, initially as a Child Care Home, Starcare Services has since expanded to branch out into adult and elderly care. Estrella's experience and expertise in child and adult care led to assembling a host of new services to augment their existing line. “We want to be of help to as many people as possible“, says Star. “We will walk our talk by living our personal definition of service, which is the ability to make ourselves ready to help at all times for the convenience of our residents“.
Through the years we have met wonderful people whom we would like to think have helped us develop ourselves.
We provide assisted living care for senior people who are no longer able to remain a totally independent life but are also not in need of full-time nursing care.
Golden Star Residential Care Home is located in the quiet neighborhood of Homecoming Village in the scenic riverside City of Rio Vista.
Golden Star Residential Care Home has been customized to the needs of the elderly or disabled. It has:

We provide cost effective quality care in a friendly, family-like environment. We provide Starcare 24/7 personalized supervision of all residents. To maintain the home atmosphere, we:
- Perform a daily upkeep of residents' rooms.
- Provide regular laundry services.
- Serve freshly cooked nutritional meals three times a day and have snacks available throughout the day.
- Conduct regular social and recreational activities such as trips to the park and library, as well as regular home movie viewing.
- Teach music appreciation, singing, dancing, the arts and various card and board games, if desired.
Each resident has unique needs and preferences, so we meet with the family and the resident before move in and at regular intervals to review the need for services and support in the following areas:
- Personal hygiene and grooming
- Dressing and clothes selection
- Medication management
- Continence management
- Showering or bathing
- Mobility and exercise
- Socialization and activities
- Safety monitoring
Our CPR-certified, professional caregivers are ready 24 hours a day to administer basic first aid and unmatched care to insure the total well being of all residents.
