Prairie Creeks Living Center is a first-class assisted living community in Strasburg, Colorado. It is within gorgeous Arapahoe County which is part of the Centennial State.
Prairie Creeks Living Center was first visualized by people in our community decades ago. There had long been a need for local assistance for senior citizens and it was distressing for the seniors and their families to have to move their loved ones to the city having lived in the area for most, if not all, of their lives. In 1993, Daryl Haerther, a local livestock producer, visited some assisted living centers in other communities and decided to explore the possibilities of assisted living in our own community. In October of 1993, he gathered together a group of local residents to attend an architectural presentation on assisted living. As a result, a non-profit corporation was formed and named Eastern Slope Housing. The main goal of Eastern Slope Housing was to begin the process of building an assisted living center.
Since 1997, we have served dozens of local and non-local seniors. In 2003, we expanded our senior services by adding 26 Independent Living Apartments named the Residences of Prairie Creeks. Many members of our original board remain active and Margaret Cozza is employed as Director of Prairie Creeks Living Center. We are proud of our achievements and continue to offer the highest quality care available on the eastern plains.
The Residences at Prairie Creeks offer independent apartments for seniors over 55 years of age. With two different floor plans to choose from, either one bedroom or a one bedroom with multi-purpose room. They both offer an excellent option to ease into retirement living. Each unit offers central air, laundry hook-ups, and an attached garage and locked storage space. These units are pet friendly and handicap accessible; in addition to your own unit, you will have access to a community room, an exercise room, and a shared laundry room.
The goal of Eastern Slope Housing is to provide the senior citizens of the I-70 Corridor an option of independent, assisted living and recreational activities in a warm and caring environment. This allows seniors to remain in the community that they are comfortable in when they are no longer fully able to care for themselves and to do so in a compassionate and affordable way.
Eastern Slope Housing also allows an opportunity for senior citizens of the I-70 Corridor to participate in enjoyable outside activities, further improving their quality of life. Our residents will remain a vital and active resource for the I-70 Communities, enriching all of us with their heritage and wisdom. We remain committed to providing the best quality care for the senior citizens of the I-70 Corridor by making their lives more productive and enjoyable. Residents of Prairie Creeks Living Center and the Residences of Prairie Creeks Living Center will be treated equally without regards to race, color, religion, gender, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
You can feel like you never left home while residing at our friendly community with the charm of country living. Personal Service and Quality Care are first priority of our management and staff.
