The Cloisters creates the opportunity for residents, 62 and older, to enjoy the retirement life they have been looking forward to. We offer a sense of community where our residents can feel secure while also enjoying their independence. We understand that the transition to a new home can be challenging. We strive to make the process easier with our friendly staff, ongoing activities and special events, social services settings, and our beautiful and comfortable community. At The Cloisters, our mission is to provide housing options for older adults in an environment that enhances their quality of life physically, mentally, and spiritually.

We create an environment where our residents get to showcase their talents and be involved in what they love to do. Our library is run and operated by a retired librarian, our chapel services are led by a retired missionary, several residents created the artwork showcased around our community, and our community news magazine is completely operated by residents.

Our community is located on a beautiful, 13.9 acre, park-like campus and is easily accessible from Interstate 4, exit 114, SR 44 and US 92. Our central location is convenient to Daytona Beach and Orlando and is comprised of an eight-story Atrium Midrise that overlooks our quaint village of Garden and Patio Villa homes, and The Cloisters’ community clubhouse and pool.

The Cloisters of DeLand is proud to be a Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) community, offering affordable living options and services to older adults. RHF is one of the nation’s largest non-profit providers of housing and services for older adults, persons with disabilities, and low-income families.

At The Cloisters we believe events and activities enrich our resident’s lives. We create a fun, uplifting environment where our residents can be social, get involved, and enjoy their favorite hobbies and activities.

Our community serves our residents based on his or her unique needs. Our full-time staff is available to assist residents with activities of daily living so each one can focus in on the important items they would like to do each day. We provide our residents the opportunity to be able to enjoy the retirement life they have been looking forward to while enjoying our featured amenities.

Extended congregate care is designed so residents can remain in familiar surroundings when they require a higher level of care and expanded scope of services than is permitted within standard assisted living communities. At The Cloisters we want you to be able to age in place.
