my first visit to John Knox convinced me that I would be very happy here and it would be a good fit for me people I spoke with on the elevators and then the dining room floor who have been here 15 years and more and they all said they wished that they had come sooner and I thought well now's the time for me to make the move I I met people i met the security people and they made me feel safe and that really impressed me so we took the next step the residents here have lots and lots of drive and they really participate which is another thing that really got me excited about John except that's on the board when I think about the leadership at john knox village they are so passionate about this vision as a culture and a lifestyle I see wellness showing up in every aspect of everything that we do but wellness is really all about is keeping people independent and healthy mentally and physically and spiritually longer but I want to explore the fine dining aspect that we could offer here as well as expanding happy hour the pub introducing a chef's table where the residents would by reservation gather around the chef and he would present them with a seven-course meal the driver that brought me over here he says I love my job I am learning and growing every day by the things I'm learning from the residents here oh absolutely love love interacting with the residents here I see them as my own you know an extended family so it's a real it's a real treat coming in every day and just getting to enjoy their their company it's about bringing life meaningful life to the people who live here you you

see what I mean fabulous friends and we gather every night about 5:00 4:30 5 o'clock we love to play puzzles and Scrabble and we do a lot of things together the other thing too is is making new friends people say well I can't leave my house why not why would you want to worry about groups leaky comes up the yard needs to be mowed you don't have to worry about all of those things it's taken care of for you having the freedom of traveling which I love and come back home and see that everything's been taken care of in the mean time I was coming here for some activities I did come for a concert surrounded by friends surrounded by people who take care of me very very good services at all times I know there's many activities here in the village I mostly participates in the fitness and the gym and the gym classes different of different guys I use the pool quite a bit living in a very pleasant environment I have many friends who are in that age bracket and I'm always inviting them over to John Arthur or just to come for a party that I might have or whatever because I want it to be exposed to it they all know that I've lived here for many years they laughingly say to people when I moved to John Knox all I did was change my address in the meantime you you just enjoy your active lifestyle that we have here and the many friends that I have both inside and out and just can't say enough positive about the experience that our whole family has had with the result of mom and dad moving to John Max village because if you feel like happiness is No if you feel like happiness is the truth if you feel like that's what you wanna do
