From the first assessment with the resident and their family to the transition to the community, the dementia care nurse is there to oversee and seamlessly coordinate the entire process. The Liana nursing staff understands that clear communication with the resident’s family is essential as they deal with this difficult transition. Our nurses do more than care for our residents, they care for the resident’s family––explaining what to expect as the disease progresses.

We appreciate and acknowledge every resident’s individuality and their lifetime of achievements and success. Our Life Engagement program is designed around this philosophy. It begins with seeing each person as the person they are on the inside – not just seeing the disease.

This open-door policy permits our residents to come in and out of our offices just as they would any living area of their home. It helps to establish bonds of trust and enhanced community. Every employee at every Liana assisted living community is trained in dementia care, because caring for those with dementia is the core of our business. This includes both the team who works with our residents every day, as well as the corporate office staff.

We recognize that memory loss is unique for each and every person. With that in mind we offer several options related to care services. Our team is focused on making a genuine difference for residents and families. We can customize services based on your specific needs including respite or full services.

Our culinary staff is also trained specifically to recognize the needs of the individuals in our care. Each resident’s meals are personalized according to his or her preferences.  Special occasions and festive experiences also play a part in the dining experience at Liana Venice. As a family member of a resident, you’ll be invited to attend these special occasions.
