Somerset stands strong behind the belief of promoting the resident’s independence for as long as their health permits, but understands that our residents may require further assistance as they age in place. To better suit the growing needs of our residents, Somerset House maintains the Extended Congregate Care License (ECC). This ensures that residents are able to age gracefully with proper care in their private suites. Some of the services included but are not limited to Oxygen Management, Wound Care, Catheter Care, and Total Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.

The activities program at Somerset House is carefully designed to incorporate the special interests of each and every resident. Monthly resident council meetings are held so the residents have an opportunity to voice their opinions and offer suggestions as to which activity they might like to add to the monthly calendar.
