The Addington at Wellington Green is a 120-bed Post Acute Care center with a 52-bed Assisted Living facility. We specialize in patient-centered post-acute care following illness or hospitalization. Our nursing staff strives to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in healthcare. We will work with you, your physician and the entire rehab team to provide compassionate and highly skilled clinical care.
Our Physical Therapists will work with you and your physician to create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. We focus on maximizing your functional independence by improving muscle strength, joint motion, coordination and balance. Pain relieving treatments are also used to promote comfort & mobility.
Occupational Therapists will assist you with maximizing your activities of daily living. These include dressing, grooming, bathing, self-feeding and toileting. Assessment & instruction in the use of adaptive equipment is often performed to promote safety & independence.
The Speech & Language Pathology team provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for adults experiencing swallowing & communication problems arising from neurological impairments. The role of the therapist includes determining safe diets & treatment plans for remediation of swallowing problems. The speech pathologist also develops remediation & strategy training for impairment notes in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, memory, attention & judgment.
