Kuakini Home is a peaceful assisted living community in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is within pleasant Honolulu County which is part of the Aloha State.
Kuakini Geriatric Care, Inc. (KGC), a subsidiary of Kuakini Health System, provides compassionate and comprehensive, personalized care for each of its clients. KGC was founded under Kuakini’s century long Tradition of Caring and its commitment to providing safe, quality health care services for the people of Hawaii. KGC helps its clients reach their fullest potential and works to extend independent functioning of elderly residents by maximizing their physical comforts, while maintaining quality of life and dignity in their remaining years. Programs and services include a residential care home called Kuakini Home, and intermediate and skilled nursing care facilities.
We believe that older adults can improve their life situations with compassionate, comprehensive care. Our goals are to:
- Provide appropriate levels of care to meet the specific needs of each of our clients.
- Prevent mental and physical deterioration through ongoing therapeutic assessments, continuing education, and participation in various social activities, and other types of care for our clients.
- When appropriate, work towards final placement in the client’s own home or other institution that will be most beneficial to their needs.
Kuakini Home is a licensed Adult Residential Care Home on the second floor of the Hale Pulama Mau building, conveniently located on the campus of the Kuakini Health System (347 North Kuakini Street).
Kuakini Home enhances the quality of life of its residents by providing a protective environment designed to maintain and promote the personal welfare, social adjustment and physical status of the elderly who can no longer live independently. Dietary services (three meals and two snacks per day), minimal assistance with personal care, recreational activities, general health monitoring and other services are provided to elderly men and women 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
