Lunalilo Home is a magnificent assisted living community in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is within lively Honolulu County which is part of the Aloha State.

In fulfillment of the trust of King William Charles Lunalilo, the sixth reigning monarch of Hawai’i, our mission is to perpetuate the legacy of King William Charles Lunalilo to honor, tend to, and protect the well-being of elders.
Whether you require care for yourself or for someone you love, the people, programs and services at Lunalilo Home are here to assist you. We provide Hawaiian cultural values, traditions and aloha through our Residential Care, Adult Day Care, Respite Care and Meals-to-Go programs.
Residents of the Home receive 24-hour supervised care and supportive services in an ʻohana (family) setting. Residential services include:
- Accommodations in a single, double or multi-person occupancy room
- Basic bedroom furnishings
- Bed and bath linens
- Meals and snacks (sample menu)
- Meal planning, preparation and service
- Assistance with personal care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulatory assistance
- Assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as outside social activities and arranging appointments and transportation
- Medication monitoring
- Health status/condition change monitoring
- First aid care
- Implementation of physician orders or treatments
- Professional staff consultation
- Recreational, cultural and spiritual activities
- Laundry services
Respite residents enjoy the same privileges and benefits as long-term Residential Care residents, including:
- Accommodations in a single, double or multi-person occupancy room
- Basic bedroom furnishings
- Bed and bath linens
- Meals and snacks (sample menu)
- Meal planning, preparation and service
- Assistance with personal care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulatory assistance
- Assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as outside social activities and arranging appointments and transportation
- Medication monitoring
- Health status/condition change monitoring

- Implementation of physician orders or treatments

Respite Care is provided on a first-come, space-available basis. There is no guarantee that a bed may be reserved for a specific timeframe. Respite Care durations may be between two (2) and 30 consecutive days.
As our staff are specially trained to handle the complexities of age-related needs, family caregivers have peace of mind knowing their loved-ones are spending the day in a safe, fun and socially engaging environment while receiving expert care.
We develop personalized care plans, meals, snacks, activities and excursions to meet each individual's needs. Activities and excursions may include: therapeutic activities, socialization, daily exercise, local entertainment, arts and crafts, monthly outings, pet therapy, and/or kanikapila (music playing).
