Cornerstone is a handsome assisted living community in Mason City, Iowa. It is within gorgeous Cerro Gordo County which is part of the Hawkeye State.
Cornerstone, located on the west end of Good Shepherd’s campus in the original Good Shepherd Geriatric Building, was developed in 2001, featuring 46 one bedroom apartments over three floors. Residents here can enjoy the amenities of being attached to Good Shepherd and close to the downtown area. Each apartment has its own bathroom and kitchenette. Three meals are served every day along with 24 staffing in case of emergencies. To be eligible for assisted living, seniors must require assistance with two activities of daily living such as bathing, meals, housekeeping, etc. Cornerstone and Kentucky Ridge both accept elderly waiver as a way to make these services affordable to a wider range of people and help people remain independent longer.
