Churchview Supportive Living combines the benefits of residential apartment home living with the availability of personal assistance, support services, and opportunities for residents to enjoy the companionship of friends and neighbors and participate in activities and special events.
Studio and one-bedroom apartments are available, with each apartment featuring a kitchenette, individually controlled heating and air conditioning and an emergency call system. Many of the apartments offer a view of the Chicago skyline.
Certified nurses assistants are on-duty round-the-clock to provide help with medications, bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting to and from dining and activities.
Among the included services are three restaurant-style meals a day, housekeeping and laundry. Services such as health assessments, monitoring and education, as well as physician communication also are available.
Churchview Supportive Living is fully certified by the Illinois Department of Healthcare & Family Services and is able to serve older adults of all incomes. Those on Medicaid or who only receive Social Security benefits can qualify for residency.
The Greater Southwest Development Corporation has done an impressive job of community redevelopment designed to improve the quality of life for residents on the southwest side. In addition to Churchview Supportive Living, the organization owns and operates two affordable independent living communities on 63rd Street.
The neighborhood where Churchview is located is full of history, starting with the bungalow homes that were built between 1890 and 1940. Generation after generation of families have grown up in these homes with many utilizing Holy Cross Hospital as their hospital of choice. The hospital has been providing excellent care since 1927.
The neighborhood features a variety of ethnic restaurants and shops, and downtown Chicago, the Museum of Science and Industry, and the Lithuanian Museum and Cultural Center are minutes away.
