Occupational therapy provides services to help regain the skills needed in order to return home. Our occupational therapists work with Residents with an array of diagnosis that has had their abilities interrupted by injury, illness, or surgery. Occupational therapists, in turn, set up goals for these Residents to learn or relearn activities of daily living with the ultimate goal of returning home, if possible.
Physical therapy provides services to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and return to prior level of function with the ultimate goal of returning home, for many.

Speech therapy provides services to correct or compensate any deficits in speaking, swallowing, or cognition.
Our Respiratory therapy department is a full-service department with equipment and staff available for any potential admission. If you or your loved one have a diagnosis of COPD, emphysema, pneumonia or any other respiratory/breathing difficulties, we have a skilled and trained respiratory therapy staff who are solely focused and responsible to care for your respiratory and breathing needs.
Respite care is designed to relieve individuals or families involved in caring for a loved one who is no longer physically or mentally capable of taking care of themselves on a daily basis. Colonial Nursing and Rehab Center offers a respite care stay program that allows for caregivers to take a break and take care of themselves. Whether a caregiver must travel for business or recuperate from an illness or injury, we can relieve the burden of daily caregiving through our respite care program.
Colonial offers its full continuum of services including 24-hour nursing care, medication administration, daily meals and snacks, laundry services, planned activities and social services, during respite stays.
