Gentle Steps Assisted Living LLC is a privately owned assisted living community, located in Riverdale, MD since 2000.
We are owned and operated by a registered nurse with nearly 30 years of experience. When your precious loved ones are in the care of Gentle Steps Assisted Living LLC, expect them to receive special care.
Since 2000, Gentle Steps Assisted Living has provided compassionate, professional and personal care designed for the elderly. At Gentle Steps Assisted Living the personalized care is in collaboration with family, Physician, Registered Nurse and caregivers. Our goal is to allow our residents to maintain as much independence as possible. With help from our caring team our residents can maintain control of their lives and preservation of their dignity.
We offer a warm homelike environment where residents may choose a private or semiprivate room. Each room is furnished with a single bed, a dresser, a mirror, chair night table and lamp. In an attempt to customize the activity for each resident, the assisted living manager gathers information to get an understanding of what activities the potential resident enjoyed or currently engages in prior to move in. Group activities include Bingo, word games, Art and craft, music, Current events discussion and walks.
Gentle Steps Assisted Living staff will assist with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing and continence management. Gentle Steps Assisted Living collaborates with area hospice organizations to provide palliative care to our residents to facilitate aging in place.
Gentle Steps Assisted Living LLC is a community that offers compassionate personal and professional care to the elderly in a home like environment. Our services include:
- Medication Administration by licensed personnel. You will have peace of mind knowing that your loved ones will not miss a dose or accidentally take more than the required dose.
- On site visits by physicians. You do not have to worry about making medical appointments for your loved ones, as in home visits are made by medical personnel.
- Gentle Steps Assisted Living LLC collaborates with area hospice organizations to facilitate aging in place.
- We work with a local pharmacy that delivers medications so the family does not have to worry about picking up medications for a loved one.
- We understand that care givers need a break sometimes so Gentle Steps Assisted Living LLC offers the opportunity to have your loved one cared for on a short term basis.
