The Thome Rivertown Neighborhood apartments provide a unique opportunity for affordable housing and supportive in-home services available to seniors with low incomes. Rent levels are set to be affordable for persons aged 55 years and older with limited incomes and tenants can receive Medicaid-funded services in the privacy of their own home. The Detroit Area Agency on Aging is the primary funder of the personal care and health-related services in partnership with the on-site service provider Caring Hearts Home Care, Inc. Services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
The Thome Rivertown Neighborhood also features a Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) program provided by the Center for Senior Independence that offers a medical clinic, physical therapy, and other services for program participants. The Thome Rivertown promotes quality of life for seniors by supporting privacy, independence and dignity through offering high-quality, around the clock care.
