We also have a conservative medication philosophy: We keep residents on the smallest amount of medication possible to maintain stability. That, along with a highly structured daily routine, helps our residents move forward.
In fact, our treatment methods have substantially reduced the rehospitalization rate of our population. We see many residents progress enough to leave our program and move into a more independent environment.

We provide all-inclusive medical and psychiatric services in a secure, home-like setting for mentally ill adults, aged 35 and over, who may be medically fragile.

Our treatment philosophy is to stabilize each resident with the least amount of medication necessary. That allows them to remain alert and actively participate in daily programs and routines.
In fact, all of our services are designed to help residents achieve their highest level of functioning and enjoy an improved quality of life, which is what it's all about.
Our organized and structured Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program means that we plan daily routines for residents and provide stimulating activities from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

- Two reality orientations ("New Beginnings," to start the day, and "Wrap Up," to end the day)

Our monthly programming includes birthday parties, holiday celebrations, and plenty of community outings for shopping, movies, plays and sporting events.
From the moment you pull in off Pontiac Trail, you'll see that Courtyard Manor of Wixom is a different kind of care facility. We house a total of 80 residents in four, single-story buildings, nestled into a country setting just steps away from the quaint community of Wixom, Michigan.
Each of the four, individually licensed and CARF-accredited program houses 20 residents with similar medical and psychiatric needs. Each building has a barrier-free plan surrounding a beautiful, handicapped-accessible courtyard garden.
