Scenic Hills Alternative Care provides comprehensive 24-hour customized living specializing in long-term medical and mental health care for residents in private, residential home settings. Scenic Hills Alternative Care promotes health, dignity, and independence to all of our residents.
Our smaller residential settings allow our residents the opportunity to have more individualized services. Each setting is overseen by our Clinical Director and our Director of Nursing. In addition to nursing oversight, each location has a designated Program Manager and qualified staff 24-hours-per-day.

Our residents love to get out and about in the Twin Cities, and we love to make it happen. Whether it’s a trip to the store, an afternoon at a museum, or just a cup of coffee with friends at a local café, we want to keep our residents active and engaged in the community.
Many group activities are offered every week. Fishing excursions, bowling parties, art workshops, and trips to the zoo are just a few of the fun outings we offer. In the fall we enjoy soaking up the brilliant colors, tastes and fragrances of autumn in Minnesota at the apple orchard. Winter brings holiday parties and Christmas light viewings. In the spring we venture out for picnics and flower shows. Summertime is packed with festivals, outdoor concerts, and trips to the State Fair.
Our residents also enjoy plenty of opportunities for individual outings customized to their interests. Animal lovers might enjoy an afternoon visiting the kittens at the local Humane Society. Hobbyists might like a trip to a craft store to stock up on their beading or scrapbooking supplies. Residents get to choose their favorite restaurant for a meal on their birthday.
We have a full-time activities manager on staff to schedule and participate in activities with our residents, so meaningful interactions are happening regularly. At Scenic Hills, our aim is to go beyond the activity to foster trust and bonding with our residents.
