Riverfront on Main is a wonderful assisted living community in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. It is within stunning Otter Tail County which is part of the North Star State.
The Pelican Valley Health Center Hospital District was formed in 1977. It currently consists of a 33 bed Medicare certified skilled nursing facility; a 20 unit assisted living facility, Riverfront Manor; a 26 unit memory care assisted living facility, Riverfront on Main; and provides rental space for several community service providers.
Riverfront on Main is the newest addition to our campus. We began operating this community on June 1, 2013 when we took over ownership from the Good Samaritan Society. This 26 unit building provides 24 hour care and a little extra help for those who want to maintain an independent lifestyle. Whether you need just a few reminders or comprehensive care, our assisted living communities can get you the care you need to stay active and independent.
Riverfront on Main is proud to offer memory care assisted living. Our community is staffed with Resident Assistants 24 hours a day. We value quality of life and staying active, involved and engaged, even as we age. We believe that maintaining quality of life, preserving dignity and taking part in meaningful activities enhances our standard of living. Our care team works with residents and families to create an individualized care plan that reflects the unique personality and needs of our residents. What really sets us apart from the rest is our beautiful location, cozy suites and our use of the innovative program called Awakenings. Awakenings is focused on reducing the use on anti psychotic medications, identifying new approaches to work with behavioral expressions and approaching care through a collaborative approach that helps honor the person.
Riverfront on Main is dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents every day by providing customized services to those who value their freedom and independence, but need or require assistance with activities of daily living such as: personal hygiene, bathing, transfers with an assist of one and medication management. Riverfront on Main is a memory care assisted living unit staffed 24 hours a day to be able to provide this high level of quality care. At Riverfront on Main, we get to know our residents and develop individual service plans that reflect their preferences, likes and dislikes. Our residents enjoy services delivered by caring, compassionate professionals. Families enjoy peace of mind knowing their loved on is getting the attention they need. We accept Medical Assistance/Elderly Waiver/Group Residential Housing.
