A cozy, comfortable housing community with both independent rental apartments and licensed housing options with care services. Danebod Village is a nonprofit corporation serving this community since the early 1900s.
The facility was founded by Danish Lutherans in 1907 as a children’s home. It gradually converted into a home for those in the last third of life. We’re still a nonprofit corporation with board members from the local area. We offer housing without regard to race, religion, or ethnicity.
Home for single folks and couples who do their own cooking and housekeeping. There are 7 buildings containing 38 apartment units surrounded by lush landscapes. Each unit is furnished with an electric stove and refrigerator. Heat, lights, and water are included at reasonable rates. Some garage units are available as well.
A licensed housing unit with 20 private rooms that specializes in making it feel like home. A shared dining area serves three meals a day plus two coffee times. A caring staff is on site 24 hours a day and are responsible for cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
