Levering Regional Health Care Center is a handsome assisted living community in Hannibal, Missouri. It is within picturesque Marion County which is part of the Show Me State.
What is now Levering Regional Health Care Center was once Levering Hospital. The original hospital was opened in 1903 and was a pioneer for hospitals in rural Missouri. Levering was named after Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Levering who donated both the land and the building. Over the years, a number of additions have complimented the original structure and recent upgrades have created a beautiful internal living environment. This historic landmark continues to make positive contributions to the lives of the residents in and around Hannibal as it has done for more than 100 years.
Our goal is to provide unparalleled care using a team like approach through empowering employees while at the same time meeting the needs of the respective communities, physicians, hospitals and other health care providers. This objective will be accomplished while working within sound financial practices. As a team, we will move forward in striving to meet the needs of all customers in an environment dictating honest, open and respectful communication to all people.
Special care units

Since all of our beds are dual certified to include Medicare, we are staffed with licensed professionals 24 hours a day. Our goal is to assist our residents in returning to their home, functioning as independently as possible.
Physical rehabilitation unit: At Levering Regional Health Care Center we have a rehab unit in response to the community needs: quality long term care and/or short term care for individuals with complex medical and skilled medical illnesses. Our rehab unit is designed to meet the needs of the resident's with the primary diagnoses of complex medical or skilled medical needs with ancillary diagnosis of mental illness
Residential care unit: This unit is for the resident who does not necessarily require heavy nursing care. It has an 35 bed unit designed in an "home like" setting.
