The Churchill Retirement Home was built in 1975 by a group of stockholders who's mission was to care for the elderly in the community. It is located in the heart of the Gallatin Valley, surrounded by the beautiful Spanish Peaks and Bridger Mountain Ranges. We are nestled in the quiet community of Churchill, where neighbors know their neighbors and children are seen playing in the streets. This community values their rural farming location, their heritage, and the Christian values that make them a community.
Choose the Churchill Retirement Home, where you will become part of a community that encourages “aging in place” in an atmosphere that feels like home. While living independently, you will experience the safety and security of having friendly and caring staff nearby on a 24-hour basis.
As a Christian-based facility, the Churchill Retirement Home provides both Bethel Christian Reformed Church and Manhattan Christian Reformed Church services twice on Sunday as a live stream so you are able to experience a Christian community in the comfort of your own home. Both are available over the intercom in each residence as well.
Enjoy community activities, such as morning and afternoon coffee-time, visits from Amsterdam and Manhattan Christian School students, local youth groups, and music groups. Throughout the year, options for field trips around the valley are offered. You can take a trip to see the Christmas lights or picnic up at Hyalite Canyon in the comfort of the Churchill Retirement Home van.
The Churchill Retirement Home is a close-knit community with 23 Independent Living apartments. In your new home, you will experience the freedom to cook your own meals or enjoy a home-cooked meal in the dining room. Each apartment is approximately 490 square feet and equipped with its own stove and refrigerator. Apartments include a bathroom with either a shower or shower/tub combination. Each resident also has their own garage space, heating system and communal laundry facility. Microwaves and air conditioners are permitted, but not provided at this time.
Some of our residents’ favorite monthly activities include scenic outings, birthday parties, visits from groups in the area, crafts, spelling bees, and Bible study. Activities spread over the year include a formal Christmas dinner, outdoor BBQs, ice cream socials, and pajama parties. Residents enjoy wii bowling, games, Friday night bingo, resident-led exercises, and movie night Monday on a weekly basis.
The Churchill Retirement Home assisted living provides residents with loving nurse aides and nurses around the clock. There are single and double occupant rooms available with private half-baths. Residents will enjoy homemade meals and snacks in the dining room. Services include an individualized needs assessment, medication management, daily housekeeping, and laundry services.
Assisted living residents can experience weekly activities with independent living residents. Residents enjoy trips in the van for picnics to Ennis, specialty dinners, birthday parties, spa day, manicures and visits from groups in the community. Wheelchair rides are a hit every Tuesday morning once the summer weather arrives!
