Reflections Memory Care provides comprehensive and compassionate care in a secure environment and has been specifically designed for people with Alzheimer’s Disease and other related memory disorders to provide comfort and security in a home-like environment. The program supports each person’s existing capabilities while reaffirming dignity and self-esteem. Individual life skills such as setting the table and folding laundry are honored and may be incorporated into a resident’s day, replicating as much as possible the routines that are familiar and comfortable.
The philosophy of the Reflections Memory Care Program is based on the concept of creating pleasant days. Simply put, this means finding ways to involve residents in activities that they prefer, at which they can be successful and that are pleasurable to them. If something as simple as walking in the sunshine or singing a favorite song brings happiness or contentment to a resident, then we have created a pleasant day. Being involved in something meaningful and purposeful, regardless of its simplicity, is the goal.
