Ashe Assisted Living is licensed by the State of North Carolina to provide Adult Care personal care services throughout our assisted living building, and is also licensed as a Special Care Unit (SCU) in our Memory Care Program for persons with Alzheimer's disease or related disorders. The Memory Care Program is separated by closed doors from the rest of the community, to provide a safe and secure environment designed especially for special care of residents with Alzheimer's Disease or related disorders.

The Memory Care Program is designed to provide residents with memory impairment assistance with activities of daily living in a home like atmosphere. This assistance is provided in a manner that treats each resident with maximum respect and dignity as well as promoting independence of each resident as an individual. Services are designed to meet the individual needs of each resident on a scheduled and unscheduled basis. Our program involves various team members to ensure that each residents needs are being met. In addition to the homes team members, other members of the team could include, and are not limited to, the residents personal physician, family members, friends, and community professionals such as home health care professionals.
