Chimney Rock Villa is a skilled nursing and assisted living facility in Bayard, Nebraska, approximately 25 miles east of Scottsbluff/Gering and 4 miles from the historic Oregon Trail landmark, Chimney Rock. We are a small, city-owned facility that takes pride in giving back to our community. We have 49 skilled nursing beds and 8 assisted living units. We offer both short-term rehabilitation care as well as long term care and we accept private pay, Medicare and Medicaid. Our staff is caring and compassionate and we treat our residents with dignity and respect to provide a positive living environment for all.
Chimney Rock Villa accepts both short-term and long-term admissions and can meet a wide variety of medical needs for residents aged 18 and older. We have a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) on duty 24 hours per day to provide skilled or intermediate nursing cares for residents, including medication assistance, wound care, laboratory draws, tube feeds, insulin management other skilled nursing services. In addition to licensed nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides help provide assistance in activities of daily living, which include dressing, eating, bathing and mobility.
Assistance is provided daily by Certified Medication Aides to provide assistance with medications; general housekeeping and laundry duties; 3 meals per day; stand by assistance with activities of daily living; and 24 hour personal call-system pagers for medical emergencies.
Chimney Rock Villa provides onsite occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy services provided by licensed therapists. These services are available at an additional cost to any short term or long term care resident and focus on providing strengthening, balance training, modalities for pain control, wheelchair positioning, prosthetic training, and fine motor skills training, just to name a few.
On-site hospice services are available. Chimney Rock Villa contracts with a local hospice provider to provide hospices services to residents needing end of life care.
At Chimney Rock Villa, it is our goal to care for our residents the way we would want our own family member cared for. We are committed to providing individualized care that focuses on each person’s unique physical, mental and spiritual needs. We attain this by utilizing a multi-disciplinary team approach, consisting of members of the dietary, social services, activities and nursing staff. This care plan team meets regularly with the family and the resident to review the resident’s holistic needs and to set goals and plans that would allow the resident to achieve the highest quality of life possible.
