Our low number of residents per community means a higher caregiver to resident ratio and means your family member is given individual care and attention. Because we specialize in caring for residents with memory loss concerns, we don’t segregate your family member from the rest of the residents, or put our residents in a “Lock Down” facility, or special unit. There are no hidden rooms or locked off areas. Our home-like atmosphere was designed to be clean, safe, secure, and beautiful for EVERY resident — both indoors and out!

I am always impressed with the staff at Alcoeur Gardens. The turnover is low and that is a direct result of the way the kindness and compassion resonates from the management down to the staff and then onto the residents. We are very happy and most impressed. Also everyone is approachable and that is much appreciated.
I feel that email correspondence would be of benefit to both the family and the staff at Alcoeur Gardens. When my Mom needs something, a quick email can be sent if need be followed up by a phone call. Also, if I have a concern about something I can send off a short email and a time to discuss by phone or in person can be set up. I would rather take up less time using email so more time can go towards taking care of the residents. Also, making phone calls can be disruptive to the staffs day. I know that all staff is available and very approachable but an email would allow time for all to meet concerns more efficiently.
The staff here is wonderful They give so much more than their job description. I am very grateful that my Mom was cared for and loved by the staff. Thank you so very much for being there when I could not.
As a hospice care coordinator, I find working with Alcoeur Gardens to be a wonderful experience. Alzheimer's is a heartbreaking disease, especially for the families, who have to make a decision to move their loved one to an assisted living. Alcoeur Gardens is just like home. The staff and management are so very kind, patient and compassionate to their residents.
We searched high and low for a memory care facility suitable to place my Mom as there are an abundance of facilities in the area. It was very discouraging at first as every facility seemed to be worse than the other. But then we called Alcoeur Gardens at Brick and spoke with Megan, she was very sweet, knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly what we were going thru. I set up a tour and met Megan at Alcoeur and when we walked in the door we were welcomed with open arms and it's not just a marketing ploy as that is the way it is there, the staff, the residents, the other families make everyone who walks in the door feel welcomed. It's everything we wanted for her, it's clean, homey and set up perfectly as my Mom is in the wandering stage and she is able to do so safely here where she wasn't able to at home or at some of the other facilities I visited. She is happy and able to hold on to her independence in a safe environment and we both have gained a new family and I couldn't ask for anything more.
