Whispering Knoll is located across the street from JFK Medical Center providing an unpatrolled access to care. Our staff maintains an ongoing dialogue to coordinate care and services with the many other professionals involved in your care. A shuttle provides transportation to and from the hospital’s outpatient services such as laboratory, imaging, the Neuroscience Institute and rehabilitation. You can take comfort in knowing that your loved one will receive the same high quality, compassionate care in each of our facilities throughout JFK Health.

Whispering Knolls staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide assistance with daily living activities. These may include assistance with bathing, dressing, medications, incontinence, escorting, transferring, and laundry. Often, this assistance is what makes it possible to pursue the active, independent lifestyle that our residents value so highly.

At Whispering Knoll, our licensed nurses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide personalized medication assistance. Our staff can work with your physician and local pharmacies to fill prescriptions and have your medications delivered directly to our building. Residents also have the ability to manage their own medications, as long as it is safe to do so.

Many families must eventually face the difficult decision to entrust their loved one’s care to an assisted living facility. To alleviate those concerns, Whispering Knolls’ Memory Unit provides a secure environment devoted to providing specialized care for residents with memory impairment or Alzheimer’s disease.

Our memory unit staff provides personalized attention to each of our residents to ensure that their specific needs are met. Comfortable routines and cues, planned activities and social events encourage each resident to take an active part in our community. Memory care residents live in private suites, enjoy the benefits of a dedicated dining room and a secure courtyard with a walking path. Our courtyard is also the venue for gardening and barbecues in the warm months.

Respite care is a short-term stay, generally at least two weeks, while a resident’s loved one or caregiver is away. Short-term stays are also ideal for those who are discharged from a hospital, nursing home, or rehabilitation center, but still need some degree of assistance before transitioning home.
