Kendal at Granville is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that embraces the life care concept. Our residents come to live here while still very active and engaged and they know that if they ever need more care, they will be taken care of right here in our community by the staff they have grown to know and love. The basic principle of the life care concept is that once a person comes to live here, they are never asked to leave, even if they have outlived their resources. Because we are a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit community, we may accept donations to a Resident’s Assistance Fund that is utilized to subsidize any resident that becomes unable to pay their fees.
Kendal communities seek to enhance the quality of life and support the independence of residents by providing high-quality services and health care and enabling resident-driven lifestyles, so that each resident may continue at his or her full potential.

I enjoy engaging lots of things that here at Kendall one of the great advantages of living living at Kendall is that there are lots of opportunities to do exactly that I've taken classes in Denison I enjoy writing and so I have time for writing I enjoy writing music enjoyed time for writing music I made a number of good friends here and that's a very nifty thing very important because when you move away from the community you lived in before you have need to develop new friendships and in general I've just tried to join the community be useful in various ways in which I can and I find that a satisfying life I think the people that work here you could have fine buildings and you can have elaborate setups but it's the people that work here that really makes a difference in it it's been a really good experience for me I took some classes at Denison and now I've signed up there's a lifelong learning group that we take many classes so I've enjoyed that for the last three years to for me the people everybody's been it's just been such fun to meet new people and have a lot of interaction a lot of things going on the the wonderful friendliness and helpfulness of staff and that's been great and then also the activities I one that likes to do Pilates and swimming and that kind of thing and I've just really enjoyed all of it well I just love the fact that that we have a lot of interesting people here and we have a choice of things to do nobody ever says for for the people who are the independent residents you can choose what you want to do and if you want to start a new activity you just find somebody else that's interested and you can start a whole new activity and that's the way our our genealogical activity got started I guess mine has been the friends we've made in the community at Kendall since we've been here and the access to all of the activities in the community were both involved in historical society were involved in church and we spend a lot of time in the evenings up on campus going to cultural events we go to the athletic events when we're interested in Abel yeah it's the whole kind of package of granville and you know Kendall and think and columbus yeah because we we do spend time in Columbus we have favorite stores and favorite restaurants and favorite movie houses that are very convenient to go to
