Avamere at Sherwood is conveniently located off Highway 99W – close to shops, restaurants and Langer Park. Residents of Washington County and surrounding communities continue to choose our specialized Assisted Living and Memory Care and entrust us with the needs of loved ones for over 15 years. Our beautiful campus offers an assortment of 55 comfortable housing arrangements in our spacious assisted living apartments. Private studio, one and two bedroom apartments are equipped with individually controlled heating and air conditioning, full-size refrigerators and microwaves for complete comfort and independence.
Avamere at Sherwood is actively involved in the local community. We host a monthly ice cream social at the Sherwood Senior Center and are involved in the Oregon Alzheimer’s Association. Through our partnership with Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, a nationally awarded and recognized hospital, we have created an atmosphere of trust, support, and quality outcomes when residents are transferred to us for acute care services. It is our mission to provide compassionate retirement living that honors each resident’s unique history.
Residents in our 24-bed Alzheimer’s/Memory Care neighborhood are assisted 24-hours-a-day by nationally certified caregivers under the direction of a licensed nurse.Because dementia and Alzheimer’s affects one’s memory and thinking skills, Avamere at Sherwood dementia care team coaches residents in a kind and compassionate way that presents clues from resident’s previous lifestyle. They also closely monitor and manage behavior changes, so residents can stay involved with daily activities and be “present” for each new day.
Our comprehensive assisted living and senior care services allow our residents to enjoy as much independence and activity as they would like, with the comfort of knowing on-site health care and personal assistance is there when they most need it.
