HuntLeigh Care Homes offers an assisted living level of care within three residential care homes in quiet, upscale Frisco neighborhoods.
Assisted Living is a long-term care option for individuals who require supervision or assistance with one or more Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). ADLs include, but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, eating, taking medication, walking, toileting, and continence management. HuntLeigh Care Homes is an assisted living and memory care ‘Residential Care Home’. This means assisted living and memory care services are provided in a residential home. HuntLeigh Care Homes has a limited number of residents so the staff to resident ratio is much higher and the care is more personal. Most often there is one caregiver for every three or four residents. For those suffering from Alzheimer's disease or other kinds of dementia, our small residential care homes are ideal. Compared to facilities, we have fewer people our residents have to deal with, our number of staff is smaller and more consistent, and we offer a lot of close supervision and support for our residents. Our smaller home environment can lower anxiety and stress for those who might be intimidated or overstimulated by larger communities. Each caregiver is chosen from many applicants after having gone through an extensive interview, referral, and background check process. HuntLeigh Care Homes caregivers: maintain order, safety, and cleanliness; assist with medication regimens; prepare and serve meals that meet daily nutritional and special dietary needs; assist with laundry; ensure safety evacuation in the event of an emergency; and assure that the HuntLeigh Care Homes residents receive the kind and amount of supervision and care required to meet his or her basic needs.
