Mindy met John & Carol while they were caring for Carol’s parents. They built a friendship based on love and trust while striving to give the best care for Carol’s parents. As fate would have it, their business life brought them back together a few years ago and together they founded Covington Senior Living.
If you wish to live independently with the advantages of community support, daily activities, transportation, and social interaction, then Independent Living is ideal for you! No more worrying about home maintenance or yard care with our maintenance team on site and weekly housekeeping for a clean-living environment. Enjoy our dining room without shopping, planning, cooking or cleaning up from meals. We’ll provide nutritious, well balanced, flavorful meals three times each day! We plan and organize group socials, field trips, lunch outings and scenic drives. If the day comes when you would like additional assistance, we will gladly bring care to you with our Assisted Living Services.
Assisted Living services include caring help with activities of daily living. These services include shower assistance, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, medication management, laundry services, room trays, escorts and more. We have a full-time registered nurse at Covington who meets with you and together you’ll create a customized, detailed care plan. Naturally as needs change, we’ll change the care plan, together. Our staff provide encouragement, care and support, with exceptional standards of dignity.
When it comes to assistance with daily living tasks, we enable you to do as much as possible while providing assistive care. This outlook on care has shown in numerous studies to ensure a purpose-driven life with dignity, respect, and happiness for everyone in our community.
Our memory care communities kindly help individuals who require more assistance with daily activities. A higher staffing ratio allows our team to provide residents with loving care specific to their needs.
Safety is a key priority at Covington Senior Living. Our Memory Care Unit is always locked to eliminate the chance of wandering. Each resident is given an advanced fall monitoring pendant. Each resident can press their button to notify staff when they need assistance. If a fall occurs, the pendant will alert staff immediately.
Activities in Memory Care include, animal therapy, reading time, music experiences, cooking demonstrations, ice cream parties, exercise, scenic drives, and so much more! It is our goal to provide activities that help our residents feel joy every day while stimulating cognitive functions.
Daily activities and special events are a high priority at Covington Senior Living. What are your interests and hobbies? We’d love to incorporate them into our event filled day! Our activities are a wonderful balance of fun, education, entertainment, and games to keep our brains and bodies strong and engaged. You will enjoy wonderful outings of scenic drives through our fabulous canyons or trips to local museums. Join us for daily exercises or go at your own pace in our well-equipped gym. How about a game of BINGO, a drive for a cookie and ice cream, or festive family social? Talented local musicians frequently treat us to amazing performances that you won’t want to miss. Come to all the activities or pick one or two. They will brighten your day!
