Our upscale, deluxe community, which offers assisted living and Alzheimer s and dementia care, provides abundant services, conveniences and amenities everything you need to live well.
As an assisted living resident, you can stay wonderfully independent and active while receiving the daily personal assistance you need. Should your needs change over time, and you require memory care, you have the security of knowing you can remain here, in your home, without leaving behind familiar surroundings and close friendships. And there s always the security of knowing that our staff is on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Each day is about living life to the fullest and letting us take care of mundane daily chores. You may want to spend your day resuming an old hobby or learning a new one. Maybe you want to practice on the putting green or create something in the woodworking shop. Our full activities program includes dancing, music therapy, wine and cheese socials, exercise, jewelry making, Bible study, Walking Club, Crochet/Knit Club, tea parties and more. We love taking exciting day excursions such as visiting the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and the American Civil War Museum. You can be active as much or as little as you choose.
You ll find plenty of comfortable common space to spend time with friends and family, whether it s in the spacious, home-like fireside family room, well-stocked library, screened lanai, cafe/bistro or the outdoor areas. Large windows give tremendous natural light throughout the community, giving in an open, airy feel. With easy-to-navigate floor plans and soothing wall colors, memory care residents feel safe and not overwhelmed. And with monitored entries and exits and an enclosed courtyard, they remain safe while having complete freedom of movement.
Your first choice is to decide which apartment, of the six floor plans, best suits your needs. Our community offers studio and one-bedroom apartments of various sizes. Each apartment has a private bath as well as large windows that let in ample natural light and look out either over the courtyard or into the forest. Some have kitchenettes. You are encouraged to bring your own furnishings, photos and treasured keepsakes to decorate your apartment in your own unmistakably unique style. Do you have a small pet? Bring it with you. We re very pet-friendly!
Our memory care residents engage in such activities as ring toss, dance, gardening, painting, playing trivia games and sing-alongs. Maybe you ll find them at a tea social, baking in the kitchen, nuzzling with a pet therapy dog or attending movie nights. They re having fun, yes. But each of these activities is part of a carefully structured, person-centered care program to help our residents live their best life, even when dementia is advanced.
We offer an open and spacious dining room which serves chef-prepared, restaurant-style meals, and a private dining room available to you for family visits and private parties. There s also concierge service, a beauty salon/barber shop, arts & crafts studio and fitness center all for your convenience.
Our assisted living lifestyle provides all the independence you want and a helping hand when you need it. We can get you started, perhaps in bathing, dressing or managing medications. Then we step out of the way of your daily living.
If a resident ever should need a deeper level of assistance, it s an easy transition into our memory care program, called the Clare Bridge Alzheimer's and Dementia Program, which is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach by creating feelings of belonging and purpose for your loved one. With gentle guidance and visual reminders, we provide a secure, safe place that meets them where they are and allows them to flourish even when dementia is advanced.
We are now offering early- to mid-stage Alzheimer s care through special programming called the Clare Bridge Crossings program. Those in the early stages of dementia frequently lose self-esteem and spend more time alone as they become aware of their own cognitive decline. The Clare Bridge Crossings program is based on research that says a structured program of mental workouts, physical exercise and increased social interaction may help to slow dementia. Whatever stage they re in, your loved one will benefit from our care and you ll have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
