The Assisted Living Federation of America defines assisted living as a senior living option that combines housing, support services and health care, as needed. Assisted living is designed for individuals who require assistance with everyday activities such as meals, medication management or assistance, bathing, dressing and transportation. Some residents may have memory disorders including Alzheimer’s, or they may need help with mobility, incontinence or other challenges. Residents are assessed upon move in, or any time there is a change in condition. The assessment is used to develop an Individualized Service Plan.

At the heart of this community is the caring, competent staff that provides dignified and compassionate support to each individual resident to help them maintain the highest level of independence possible and enjoy an enriched and fulfilling lifestyle. Several levels of care have been created to accommodate the personalized needs of each individual.

The Villa provides a beautiful environment for residents with memory impairment—those needing a safe, secure environment. The Carriage House with 10 private suites helps provide necessary assurance within a warm, home-like setting. A separate secure garden with planting beds gives residents in the neighborhood ample opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Décor includes specially designed niches with familiar objects and pictures.

All staff receive cognitive impairment training as well as additional education about Alzheimer’s and how to help someone with cognitive impairments.

Respite Care is the perfect solution for short term assisted living needs. It allows the resident to experience life in an assisted living community, before making a permanent move. A respite stay is also a great option should you need a temporary place to live while a caregiver enjoys a well deserved break or simply a vacation. At the Villa you’ll receive the same services all residents enjoy in a fully furnished apartment suite. Our all-inclusive stays range from two weeks to one month.

The Villa is exquisitely landscaped and incorporates many natural elements such as indoor and outdoor water features, comfortable gathering areas, and even a fire place on the patio. Upscale amenities and finely appointed décor featuring earth tones and the use of many natural materials soothe the soul.

Villa residents have the opportunity to enjoy tastefully decorated common areas complete with a cozy library, spa-like salon, a warm and inviting living room with a large stone fireplace, a cinema room, card and game rooms, and a choice of enticing dining venues from a more formal, wait-staffed dining experience to a casual bistro environment. Residents also have access to an outdoor swimming pool, walking trails, and the Fauquier Health Wellness Center with wellness and fitness programming. Every apartment is equipped with an emergency response system. There is also an on-site physician clinic.
