Holton Home is a nice assisted living community in Brattleboro, Vermont. It is within pleasing Windham County which is part of the Green Mountain State.
We are deeply committed to a culture of compassion for the elders in our Homes. Using a resident-centered approach, we support the unique personalities and needs of each person. Caring staff are available around the clock to help with personal care and medication and monitors each resident’s health.
With less than 40 residents in each home, our committed and engaged staff utilize a care model intended to support the unique personalities and needs of our residents.
Whatever the needs of your loved one, when they join us, they’re treated as the wonderful and singular individual that they are.

Because we see our residents as members of our family, they maintain the identity that they arrived with. We move to meet them where they are, rather than expect them to change to our offerings. Some residents like to go for a walk, some can’t; some want to participate in all our activities, some want only a few or even none; some require only to be checked in on each day, some need more consistent attention.
The activities program is dedicated to creating opportunities for residents to embark on new friendships and to share personal histories as they learn about and contribute to their new community. The goal is to enliven daily lives while nourishing interests and awakening curiosity. Living in community offers endless opportunities to stay engaged and active, proven factors in well-being and health.
What We Provide
DINING
We serve three nutritious meals daily. All food is prepared by our cooks using locally-grown produce whenever possible. We do not serve ‘institutional’ food. The vast majority of what comes out of our kitchen is made from scratch.
We provide choices at every meal and accommodate special diets, as well as personal likes (and dislikes).
And there is a range of times when you can come down for each meal – breakfast, as an example, is cooked to order from 7:00-9:00 a.m. each morning.
We also have a snack cart that visits each room with fresh fruit, packaged goodies, cookies from the kitchen, and the like. If you have a hankering for ice cream at 2 a.m., just let us know!
HOUSEKEEPING AND LAUNDRY
We check the residents’ rooms daily and clean them weekly, and as needed.
We launder resident’s clothing and linens weekly in individual loads.
WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
Art, exercise, discussion groups, garden projects, and outings are part of our monthly schedule
PERSONAL CARE AND WELLBEING
Compassionate care and assistance provided as needed for assistance with activities of daily living.
