Homeplace Special Care Center at Burlington
Burlington, WA - Assisted Living, Memory Care
Community size: Large (26-100)
HomePlace Special Care is a community that provides exceptional person-centered holistic care to residents who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). These assisted living services include those residents who have diagnosed with memory impairment, such as Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
Located in Skagit County, our community is conveniently near the picturesque downtown area. Whether your loved one is moving in from Snohomish, Island, Whatcom, or anywhere else, they’re sure to feel right at home at HomePlace Burlington.
Providing exceptional care services to senior citizens with memory illness is our top priority. Our team provides an immersive, engaging experience for these individuals through our award-winning SPARK program. It’s based around four essential keys to a life well-lived: Community Contribution, Inclusion & Belonging, Lifelong Learning, and Purpose. Everything we do works toward making these lifestyle features a reality for our residents.
When a loved one receives dementia or Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis, it affects the entire family. Dealing with gradual behavior changes and increasing medical needs is difficult, and that stress can worsen when long-term care options become necessary. It’s our mission to relieve that stress from your family.
At Frontier, we believe the process of selecting a new memory care community for your loved one should be an enjoyable one. And while memory illness presents incredible challenges to people worldwide, there is still an opportunity for a rich and meaningful lifestyle with every resident.
During a free consultation and site tour, you’ll see parts of this program for yourself and how it will impact your loved one’s life. On top of that, your loved one will experience this lifestyle themselves when they attend a monthly town hall meeting, engage in a lifelong learning event, or simply enjoy a social happy hour.
Upon moving in, we’ll work closely with your loved one to ensure they get acquainted with the community. As they settle in, they will find there is never a dull moment. Residents enjoy homemade meals in a warm, social environment. When they aren’t eating, they’re enjoying some of our engaging social programs.
Healthy living includes the mind, body, and spirit, and our caregivers work every day to help residents live a healthy lifestyle.
Our community includes daily exercise classes with other residents so they can stay fit and limber. And when they just want to get the blood flowing, we offer abundant outdoor opportunities for a brisk walk through the lovely surrounding area.
Additionally, Lifelong Learning – as part of our signature SPARK program – provides residents with a source of continued growth. They may hear from guest speakers, attend small and large group crafts, or engage in painting programs and interactive lectures. These programs are essential for stimulating the mind as well as the body.
Religion is essential to many of our staff and residents – and we’re happy to welcome all denominations. We offer dedicated space for various services, gatherings, and other interests to review, read, sing, discuss, or otherwise fulfill your desire to seek or pursue a warm and familiar experience.
We believe your loved one’s experience in a memory care community should be enjoyable and purposeful.
