Built in 1976, The Ponderosa is one of the most established assisted living and retirement centers in Yakima, Washington. As such, we feel that we have much to offer residents! Ponderosa offers an independent living experience with personal care and health services as needed.
Our community is situated in a very quiet neighborhood in the heart of Yakima, close to shopping, parks, and restaurants. Ponderosa is also in close proximity to Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital and Astria Regional Hospital in case of emergencies.
Specialized care programs and additional services will allow residents to live as independent as possible. We offer 24-hour licensed care and every apartment is equipped with an emergency pull cord. Ponderosa has a great team of caregivers on site 24/7. We also have licensed nurses on site 5 days a week and on call 24 hours/day to offer the extra peace of mind that your loved one is in good hands. Pondersosa care staff is able to provide residents with assistance in basic activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication assistance.
