Ellen's Home Germantown

Ellen's Home offers two locations - Port Washington and Germantown. Our facilities are beautifully designed homes that are just that - a "home" - for your loved one. We are located in quiet, residential neighborhoods near shops, medical offices and churches. We offer private rooms and baths as well as suites at our Port Washington location. Suites can accommodate two people or provide a more spacious unit for a single person. Each bathroom is equipped with a roll-in shower unit that provides many features to assist residents at all care levels. There are many common areas for our residents to enjoy together, but we also offer private sitting and dining areas so that our residents may enjoy private time with visiting family, friends and guests.

We keep our homes to a maximum of 20 residents to maintain our close-knit family style of living. Being a smaller home, we have the same staff members taking care of our residents on a daily basis. This is extremely beneficial to our residents' physical and mental well-being. Our staff becomes so familiar with our residents that we know instantly if there is a change in eating, sleeping, behavior or other health issues so they can be addressed immediately.

Our community based residential homes offer residents and their families peace of mind in all aspects of care. We believe that quality of life and quality of care go hand-in-hand. Our staff is highly trained and experienced including specialized training related to dementia and Alzheimer's care. Our staff-to-resident ratio is excellent which enables us to provide more one-on-one care for our residents.

Our homes provide many amenities to support our residents' mental and physical well-being. We have a pharmacy service to provide residents with the medications they need without having to make special arrangements to obtain them. Lab and radiology services are available to help reduce the number of outside medical appointments our residents have to travel to. Our podiatrist can take care of any foot and nail concerns. We also have physical therapists to provide required therapy or create a maintenance plan for our residents.

Our activity directors keep our residents' minds and bodies active and their lives full and exciting. Our beauty/barber shop will help keep them looking their best.
