Our experienced and caring staff, enjoyable activity programs, and beautiful environment combine the warmth of home with the safety of 24-hour care.
Emerald Shores Assisted Living is a state licensed Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF). Our community consists of 18 cozy, studio apartments; each with private half bathroom serving those with early to late stage Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias and those in need of assisted living services.
Emerald Shores offers many common areas for those desiring a feeling of space and has a specially designed floor providing a circular pattern for continuous walking. Common areas include a living room with fireplace, sitting room for private family get-togethers, craft room, dining room and fenced in back yard with a large patio offering sunshine and gardening opportunities. Electronically coded entrances and exits protect residents from wandering outside unattended.
Trained staff are available 24-hours per day to assist with personal cares such as medication administration and monitoring, dressing, incontinence (toileting), ambulation, eating, bathing, cueing, reminders and other activities of daily living. We specialize in chronic issues such as Diabetes, Post Stroke and Parkinson's Disease.
Emerald Shore's care and social team consists of an Administrator, on-call Registered Nurse, certified nursing assistants, dietary staff and maintenance support.
Our community philosophy is that of a regular home. Residents' apartments are their “bedrooms“ and the rest of the community is their home; kitchen, living rooms, dining room, etc. We encourage residents to spend the day in the main areas (as they would in their own home) and to use their apartments for sleeping, napping and privacy. A routine is maintained day-to-day to assist in slowing memory loss and to strengthen a sense of security. Regularly scheduled activities are an important part of each day.
Our Care Team strives to make the move-in process as easy as possible. We will assist with each step, from moving in personal items and obtaining physician's orders to hanging pictures.
