The Florida Assisted Living for the Elderly Waiver is a waiver program that is designed to help cover the cost of long term care. To be eligible, an individual must 65 years or older (or 60-64 years old and has a disability), a Florida resident, meet the income and asset limit (the same as SSI), and needing assistance with four or more activities of daily living (ADL) or have a dementia related diagnosis.
