Fairmount Assisted Living is a vibrant assisted living community in Tucson, Arizona. It is within gorgeous Pima County which is part of the Grand Canyon State.
Each resident, with their unique, rich history, brings something special to Fairmount. It is our honor and privilege to care for our residents as though they were family, because in many ways, they are. We ask ourselves, “would I bring my family member to stay here?” The answer, in all decisions we make, must be yes.
Making the decision to move into assisted living is significant and often overwhelming for seniors and their families. It is our hope that we can partner with you in this life-changing event and make this transition both smooth and beneficial for all. Our program is designed with this transition in mind and works to facilitate a move that is both smooth and seamless.
We will assess your loved one prior to admission. This will be done in conjunction with input from the family and all treating medical personnel as well as an in-person meeting with your loved one. This can be done wherever they may be whether it is in their home, in the hospital or other health care facility, or at our community. We will determine their needs based upon the following levels of care:
Supervisory Level of Care – Fairmount provides general monitoring for overall well-being and day to day functioning.
Personal Level of Care – Fairmount provides hands-on care to assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfer, and moving with a walker or wheelchair.
Directed Level of Care – Fairmount provides supervision and direction for residents who have higher level physical or cognitive limitations. These residents may be unable to make basic decisions about their own care and safety. Residents may need encouragement to complete tasks.
As your family member’s needs grow, our certified caregivers, medical and nursing staff, activity personnel, kitchen staff, salon staff, and, of course, all of the administration will be on hand to support your loved one each step of the way!
Fairmount has a 1 caregiver to 5 resident ratio, most facilities have a 1 caregiver to 10 resident ratio. We want our staff to have time to spend with each resident to ensure the best care possible.
Our caregivers care. They sit and listen to our residents and spend one-on-one time with them whenever possible. Residents are family and here they are treated like it.
From administration to maintenance, people make eye contact. We shake hands or offer hugs. We know our residents. We care about their safety, happiness, and health.
Residents participate in all kinds of activities, from physical exercise to sing-a-longs. Puzzles, games, a safe walking path in our enclosed courtyard area, and reminiscing with staff and fellow residents are just a few of the things we engage in every day.
We have live music at least 5 times a week as well as a medley of activities including painting, storytelling and chair yoga! We promise if there isn't something here for you already we will add it. We encourage all residents to stay active and engaged in life.
We settle for nothing less than nourishing and delicious. The meals are created here with fresh ingredients, not delivered in a freezer truck.
Our common spaces are supplied with ample comfortable seating, gathering spaces, and outdoor beauty. There’s plenty of light and space for everyone to enjoy. Rooms are quiet spaces for resting and sleeping.
They say “home is where the heart is” and Fairmount is all about home. We have created an environment that is rich and creative, open and stimulating, and one that nurtures the needs and abilities of all of our residents including their desires of home.
