When Maria founded Abelene Carehome in 1997, her vision was to build a model for other carehomes in providing caring, quality, and customized care for the elderly individual. Over the past decade, she has refined this business and knows exactly what it means to excel at superior service. She has attended numerous trainings in topics important to the RCFE industry, including: Alzheimer's/dementia and hospice care.

Emerald Hills Care Home is a residential care facility that specializes in services for the aging individual. We offer a warm, loving environment in which our residents will feel safe and comfortable, knowing that their unique and special needs will be met. Responsible parties will also be able to rest easy knowing that their loved ones are in the hands of experienced and professional staff who provide around-the-clock care. To provide a safe, comfortable, friendly and loving environment with the highest quality of care. At Emerald Hills Care Home, each resident receives personalized care based on his or her specific needs, with the goal to improve and/or maintain our residents’ health and well-being.

An individual care plan for each resident is designed upon acceptance and based on the preappraisal. Progress is routinely monitored in detail. A reappraisal and medication assessment is done periodically with the primary physician. The responsible party is notified with the results by mail.

From everyday living with minimal assistance to special circumstances requiring more customized care, our aim is to meet the needs of our residents at a level which will still encourage their independence. We know and expect each resident's level of care to be unique, so there are many optional services that we offer as well. Many of these include:

• Transportation to medical/dental appointments
• Special requests
