Located in a quiet, residential community, in Escondido; Vista Del Lago is home to 52 private and shared suites, with a total capacity for 96 memory care residents.
Our community is designed specifically for individuals with Dementia, Alzheimer disease and other forms of memory impairment. We provide all levels of care; from mild cognitive impairment to end stage dementia. Our guests receive the best possible care from an expert staff of 24-hour nurses and caregivers trained to serve those with memory loss. Together, we have decades of experience in loving and serving individuals with a memory impairment. Our 24-hour nursing staff is able to care for catheters, diabetic insulin care, and many other nursing needs.
At Vista Del Lago, we focus on customized care and activities that are centered around the personal experiences and everyday preferences of our residents. We believe it is our job to anticipate their needs and find ways to fill them. We learn their habits and preferences; we watch their body language and adapt. We work hard to make sure our residents are comfortable, even when they cannot verbalize their needs.
We believe that by keeping residents engaged, we can not only enhance their experience but also help reduce the need for psychotropic medication, which can be harmful to those with memory impairment.
We offer professionally decorated living spaces, spacious activity areas, restaurant-style dining, and a spacious courtyard. Our excellent chef provides a full resort-style menu that incorporates our Mentis culinary program, which is designed to incorporate brain healthy foods.
