Golden Gardens

Golden Gardens is an exquisite assisted living community in Fallbrook, California. It is within fascinating San Diego County which is part of the Golden State.

An innovation from the 1990s, Assisted Living Facilities are based upon a philosophy for services for the elderly which promote independence and dignity. The facilities are regulated and licensed by the State, provide supervision/assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), coordinate services with outside health care providers, monitor residents to insure their health, safety and well-being.

These facilities provide full-time living arrangements in the least restrictive and most home-like setting, when compared to institutions which provide comparable services.

• Unlike many facilities, we have a large staff of nine caregivers for six residents.  Our staff working at night is always awake, caring for the needs of our residents.
• Medical care - there are daily visits by medical professionals, including nurses and therapists, so as to provide the medical care needed by our residents.  For the convenience of our residents, we work with mobile physicans who provide extended visits for the residents. Periodic vists are also made by a podiatrist to the home and such services are included in the service provided all residents by Golden Gardens.  Likewise, we work closely with in-home healthcare services which provide services within the Golden Gardens home, constantly monitoring the healthcare needs of our residents. Whenever a resident requires any other form of medical attention, such as visiting a specialist, or doctor of their choice, Golden Gardens provides at no cost transportation to the doctor or hospital as may be required.
• Hospice Care - Golden Gardens is licensed by the State of California to participate in the provision of this service.  We work closely with several Hospice agencies who come to our home.  When there is a need for hospice, there is no need to move.
• Palliative Care - Golden Gardens is widely experienced in coordinating palliative care - the specialized medical care for those with serious illnesses.  Our goal at Golden Gardens is to improve the quality of life for those residents needing palliative care.
• Unlike controlling facilities, we do not dictate when or where our residents eat, sleep, or play.  They have the freedom to pursue their personal passions.
• Unlike some other facilities, the owner administrator and manager of Golden Gardens are fully committed, without the adverse encumbrance of other businesses, to achieving our mission of providing the best possible care and environment for our residents.  They also live on-site. Golden Gardens is for us a full time activity, not a part time investment.
• We promote independence, while we ensure the residents' safety, care and dignity with a focus on wellness, based upon their changing needs.
• Our doors are always open for family members, no matter the time of day.  If they want to stay overnight, they are invited to do so, at no cost.
• We offer free, professional counseling regarding applying for benefits, such as from the VA, etc.
• We offer free beautician/barber services in our home by licensed professionals.
• We use for our meals fresh fruits and vegetables from our gardens.
• We personalize the experience of each resident within our extended family, customizing their programs of activities.
• We try to nurture the spirit of the residents through creativity as associated with the arts, should they be willing to participate.
• We try to help everyone feel as though they are in their own home.
