The Berkshire is an energetic assisted living community in Napa, California. It is within wonderful Napa County which is part of the Golden State.
The Berkshire is family owned. It is our mission to provide excellent care and service to our residents, while promoting dignity and respect. The Berkshire is a beautiful and comfortable home, offering personalized and comprehensive care at affordable rates. Our Owners and Administrator personally oversee the care and staff, and are personally involved with our families.
Our management team has more than 100 years combined experience in healthcare and in working with seniors. We are dedicated to excellence in senior care.
We will personally offer a tour, provide a comprehensive assessment and develop a plan of care.
Our staff are well qualified, caring and experienced. All of our staff complete extensive screening, criminal background clearances, health screening and extensive training. Caregivers are all First Aid Trained, and many are Certified Nursing Assistants. We value and work closely with our families and physicians.

The Berkshire offers the personalized service of a small home, while is large enough to offer the amenities of a large facility, such as activities and socialization.
We are able to offer various care levels, tailored to the individual. Residents only pay for the services they need.
We have different areas specifically designed to meet resident needs the best. You will find that our fees include comprehensive services with a simple payment structure, and we have no community fee.
Senior Care:
- No community fee
- Three nutritious meals and snacks daily
- Medication Management and assistance in accordance with Physician orders
- Activities- such as Exercise, Bingo, Dominoes, Music, Devotionals, Inter-generational programs, and Arts and Crafts
- Transportation arrangements
- Physician/Dental appointment arrangements
- Assistance with showers and personal care
- Caregivers on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days per week
- Fully furnished rooms (Residents are also welcome, and encouraged, to bring their own furniture)
- Emergency Alert Systems in rooms and bathrooms
- Routine Safety checks 24 hours daily
- Weekly housekeeping; linen changes; and laundry service
- Assistance communicating with Medical Professionals
- Escorts to meals and activities
- Incontinence Management and toileting assistance
- Behavioral interventions or verbal re-directing for residents with mild memory impairment
- Special or mechanically altered diets as ordered by a physician
